High Protein, Post Workout Snacks
Trying to burn more fat? While working out is great, what you eat after a workout may also matter. A recent British study found that men who ate a high protein, low carbohydrate snack after an intense workout worked off 21% more fat than men who drank a sugary sports drink after a workout. The study's author, Adam Cunliffe notes that your body uses more energy (i.e. fat) processing protein than it does digesting carbohydrates. The men ate about 43 grams of protein after intense exercise. Below are some examples of high protein, post workout snacks:
